Greetings!
Welcome to the official site for the Wakanda University: Academic Discourse on Marvel Studios' Black Panther Symposium. The year of 2019 will commemorate many significant events including the 400th year anniversary of the arrival of the first African enslaved in America. One year following its release, Black Panther has accomplished milestones in cinema and sparked great celebrations of Black pride nationwide. In honor of these significant times, the Clark Atlanta University Graduate Student Alliance is hosting an academic symposium exploring the intersectionality between themes from the Black Panther movie, Black history, and present day research. The symposium will feature a showing of the film, keynote address, panel discussion, and research competition.
The symposium will take place on April 4-5, 2019 during Clark Atlanta University's Graduate Student Appreciation Week. REgistration fees are $25 which include Continental Breakfast And Lunch on Friday, April 5, 2019. Events for Thursday, April 4, 2019 are Free to the Public.
